Mariah Carey has been shooting a new music video for her latest song Obsessed on 5th Avenue in New York City. The photos have run the gambit, from super sexy to decidedly manly man.

The actress filmed some scenes dressed like Eminem and others dressed as a NYC doorman.Carey filmed scenes for the clip at the Plaza Hotel in New York, where she plays a man in two different costumes: One finds her in a bellhop uniform, while the other has her in a giant gray hoodie, a doo-rag and a thick goatee — apart from the beard, she's dressed exactly like Eminem (and looks very bizarre).


Carey tweeted on Tuesday (June 30), "Check out my website to see a photo of the star of my new 'Obsessed' video! LYM!!" and In addition to the photo she posted, several other pictures from the shoot have emerged.

Mariah stated “The 1st single from my new album MEMOIRS OF AN IMPERFECT ANGEL is called ‘Obsessed’ and will be at radio Tuesday. I’m a lil’ exc … Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I love the whole album. I’m completely immersed in it. I can’t wait for you to hear it”.

The video is directed by "Rush Hour" helmer Brett Ratner, who has also worked with Carey on her clips for "Touch My Body" and "Heartbreaker."

The released date is August 25. With the buzzing single “Obsessed”, Carey’s new album will likely end up being historic as the multiple Grammy Award-winning diva is one hit away from beating the Beatles

Former Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars contestant Melissa Rycroft has finally found true love. People is reporting that Rycroft got engaged to Dallas insurance agent Tye Strickland on June 26 after they dated on and off for more than two years.

Rycroft has been dating Tye Strickland, an insurance agent, since shortly after Mesnick broke her heart on national television. Rycroft, who also competed on "Dancing With the Stars," had been friends with Strickland for a while before they started dating.

"He's my best friend," Rycroft, 26, gushed to PEOPLE last April about the 28-year-old agent.

The twosome rekindled their romance after Rycroft's engagement to The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick ended via a televised breakup on the After The Final Rose special on March 2.

"Sometimes the stars align and the clouds part and everything works out the way it should," she says on "Good Morning America," where she'll be be working as a special contributor this summer.

Strickland, who was a frequent audience member during Rycroft's season eight Dancing stint, popped the question to the Dallas beauty at White's Chapel in Southlake, Texas. The couple later joined their respective parents for a celebratory meal at the Brio Tuscan Grille before heading out later in the evening to a reception with more family and close friends. No wedding date has been set.

Rycroft finished second runner-up on the DWTS season finale, but she came out smelling like a rose by landing a summer reporting gig with Good Morning America.

Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead today, June 25 after paramedics found him in a coma at his Bel-Air mansion, city and law enforcement sources told The Times. He was 50.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from the home. When they arrived, Jackson was not breathing.

According to TMZ, Michael suffered a cardiac arrest on Thursday afternoon at his Holmby Hills home. One of his staff members reportedly called 911, but when paramedics arrived the singer was already dead. "When paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back," the site wrote.

Michael was quickly rushed to U.C.L.A. Medical Center, a six-minute drive from the rented mansion in which he was living. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive. Michael's sister, La Toya Jackson, reportedly was seen in the hospital and sobbing after he was pronounced dead.

Father of Michael Jackson (Joe Jackson) said he had been alerted to the emergency but didn’t have details:

“I am in Las Vegas but yes people in Los Angeles called me and are with Michael and tell me he was taken to the hospital,” the elder Jackson told an E! News reporter. “His mother is on her way to the hospital now to check in on him.

“I am not sure what’s wrong. I am waiting to hear back.”

Music impressario and Atlanta native Jermaine Dupri and singer Janet Jackson are reportedly splitting.

According to the National Enquirer the duo has been fighting because of the way Dupri has been managing her career.

Jackson and Dupri, who have been together for four years and were reportedly pondering marriage, began battling over her recent tour — managed by Dupri — which was a dismal failure, with a string of canceled concerts due to poor ticket sales.

“Janet and Jermaine finally hit a wall,” the source was quoted as saying. “They were fighting over his management of her career. In the end, she decided to make a break.”


After the highly publicized incident at the 2004 Superbowl Halftime Show, the 43-year-old entertainer has had three albums, none of which proved the success of previous projects.Just this past year Jackson canceled several U.S. tour dates citing a case of Vertigo, then canceled dates again, this time saying the state of the economy was to blame.

Jackson’s career has been in rapid decline since her debacle at the 2004 Super Bowl, where she exposed her breast during the halftime show.

Reports of the breakup come on the heels of the announcement Jackson will again join the cast for the Tyler Perry motion picture tentatively titled “Why Did I Get Married Too?”, the sequel to the 2007 movie “Why Did I Get Married.”

Apparently Perez Hilton was beaten up by Will.I.Am and his manager, who has since turned himself in and been charged.

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has filed a suit against Black Eyed Peas manager for allegedly striking him outside an awards show in Toronto early Monday morning. The feud reportedly started when Peas' singer Fergie approached Hilton, questioning about content of her he had placed on Perezhilton.com.

Later in the evening, Will.I.Am approached Perez, a verbal spat ensued and in the end, punches were thrown, tapes were rolling and the Peas manager Liborio Molina is now slated to appear in court on August 5.

And like any good feud between massive pop stars and a blogger, they're each trying to settle the score and resolve their heated differences the way any normal adult would do so: by posting lengthy video explanations to the Internet for the whole world to see!

‘America’s Got Talent’ Host Nick Cannon Hopes Wife Mariah Will Perform

Thanks to Susan Boyle’s turn on “Britain’s Got Talent,” the American version — the new season starts Tuesday (June 23) on NBC — has some big shoes to fill. But with new host Nick Cannon and acts that will likely cause viewers to squirm as well as cry, Cannon thinks that “America’s Got Talent” will deliver.

Cannon is the show’s third host in four seasons, and he describes the gig as “best summer job ever” and “a comedian’s dream.” Cannon, who said that he doesn’t have any hidden talents, thinks that he’ll make for a great host because he understands what it’s like to hustle for your dream. “I’m cut from that mold. I’m cut from the same cloth as all those contestants. I was an 8-year-old on stage at talent shows at churches,” he said. “I can relate directly with all those contestants and I’m a fan of the show. … You have some of the wackiest people coming up to you. It’s just hilarious. I just got to stand there and let the comedy flow.”

As the new host of the show, will he get wife Mariah Carey on to perform? Well, he’s hoping. “They keep asking me that — I don’t know. It’s a possibility. She loves the show,” he said. “She has a hot new album coming out. It’s the hottest show on TV so why wouldn’t that work out? So hopefully the timing works out and she does get to come represent.”
